Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State on Thursday night brought together some of the state’s most influential political figures for a closed-door meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Abuja.
The high-level meeting, held at the Katsina State Governor’s Lodge, assembled serving and former public office holders, party leaders, prominent politicians and influential stakeholders from across the state.
The gathering featured the Deputy Governor, Hon. Faruk Lawal Jobe; Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura; former governors Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari and Barrister Ibrahim Shema; and former Senator Abu Ibrahim.
Also present were business mogul Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, former Secretary to the State Government Dr Mustapha Inuwa, and Katsina APC Chairman, Hon. Bishir Gambo Saulawa.
Other prominent attendees included the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; Principal Private Secretary, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; former Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika; and former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
The two senators representing Katsina State’s senatorial districts at the National Assembly, Muntari Dandutse and Abdul’aziz Yar’adua, representing Funtua and Katsina zones respectively, also attended the meeting.
The House of Representatives was represented by Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri of Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency, Hon. Sada Soli of Jibia/Kaita Federal Constituency, and Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, Dujiman Katsina, representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency.
The meeting further attracted former APC chairmen, the Commissioner for Higher, Technical and Vocational Education, Sani Aliyu Daura, as well as Malam Shitu S. Shitu and Alhaji Shamsu Sule Funtua.
The Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabai, alongside other party leaders and critical stakeholders from different parts of Katsina State, also participated.
The presence of serving and former governors, federal and state lawmakers, party executives and influential political figures underscored the broad representation at the gathering.
However, details of the discussions and any resolutions reached at the closed-door meeting were not disclosed in the information available.
The meeting comes amid ongoing political engagement among APC leaders, with stakeholders from Katsina State converging in the federal capital under Governor Radda’s chairmanship.
