On Monday, Senate Leader Senator Opeyemi Bamidele revealed that President Bola Tinibu has allocated 1,200 bags of fertilizer to each senator, intended to empower farmers across their districts.

Bamidele made this announcement in Ado Ekiti during an event where he handed over 5,000 bags of fertilizer to farmers in Ekiti Central Senatorial District.

He emphasized that the distribution is a vital part of President Tinibu’s push to strengthen agriculture and improve food security, urging that the fertilizer is solely for farmers, not political interests.

Responding to allegations that he opposed regionalism, Bamidele dismissed the claims as baseless, highlighting his leadership in passing the Southwest Development Commission Bill, which is set to be signed into law by the president.

“We’re investing in agriculture to make lives more meaningful,” Bamidele stated, reaffirming his dedication to both national and regional development.
