Political Shockwave as Ganduje’s Son Dumps APC Camp, Joins NDC for Reps Race

Borno State Government

Abdulaziz Ganduje, son of former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has stirred fresh political intrigue in Kano after joining the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a move already generating reactions across the state’s political landscape, Abdulaziz aligned himself with the Kwankwasiyya movement — the political bloc loyal to former Kano State Governor, Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso.

Shortly after joining the NDC, the younger Ganduje picked up the party’s nomination form to contest for the Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency seat ahead of the next general elections.

The development is being viewed by political observers as a significant twist in Kano politics, given the long-standing rivalry between the Ganduje and Kwankwaso political camps.

His defection is expected to reshape political calculations within the constituency and further intensify the battle for influence in Kano State.
