Police Smash Katsina Armed Robbery Syndicate, Recover N2.07M, Foreign Currency

In a major breakthrough, the Katsina State Police Command has dismantled a notorious four-man armed robbery syndicate terrorizing Baure Local Government Area.

The suspects, including Basiru Ayuba (22), Muhammed Musa (45), Abubakar Abdullahi (20), and Musa Rabi’u (20), were apprehended following an armed robbery at the residence of POS operator Rabi’u Umar on September 6, 2024.

The gang, which stole N2,070,000, a Tecno Camon 20, and 15 Libyan dinars, had planned the heist while two members met in a correctional facility.

Police recovered the stolen items, and the suspects will face charges after the investigation concludes.
