Senator Bala Mohammed who is the chairman of PDP Governors Forum said that the meeting would encompass all party stakeholders, among whom are, members of Board of Trustees ( BoT), National Working Committee (NWC) Senators and House of Representatives members, PDP caucus, as well as other critical stakeholders.

Governor Bala Mohammed who was speaking while receiving the embattled Acting National Chairman party, Ambassador Umaru Ilya Damagum in Bauchi during a solidarity visit, said
“We may have problems, we may have political hiccups, but certainly we have a way of coming back to take stock of our problems and challenges to make sure that we have a common front”.

“The coming of Ambassador Damagum came on the day we have alot of progress in the party, because I had stories from the media, and I have the privilege of discussing extensively with the Acting National Working about the happenings in the party, the suspensions, legal issues, and so on and so forth”.

Senator Bala Mohammed therefore assured that he would consult with his colleagues the PDP Governors on the next line of action they will take, describing their meeting with the Acting National Chairman as a good outing, having made him happy.

“All those issues that we are having challenges, we would come together and do it in the manner that it is not about our personal interests, not about our personal problems, and that of any stakeholder in Nigeria. God in the nick of time has given me and my brother (Damagum) the leadership of this party”.

Bala added, “I therefore beg him on my knees that we should be able to come together and resolve all those contending issues, and we have agreed in the presence of other stakeholders we are going to do that, so that we would return the glory of the party, and the prospects of the party for 2027 Insha-Allah”.

Senator Bala told the Damagum delegation, backed-up by PDP state chairmen of Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba and Gombe that, “That’s precisely what has happened, we had an indoor meeting, we would be on the same page, we would take this pleasent development to the national arena, so that at the end of the day it will have a salutery effect on the polity”.

The PDP Governors Forum Chairman told the press, “You are creating the division, I say we are not recognizing any faction, we are together as a body, and definitely we will resolve at the end of the day, there is no faction in the PDP. We don’t have to tell you our decision, because the final decision does not rest on two of us, but other members that are stakeholders.

Speaking earlier, the PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umaru Ilya Damagum said, “We are here today informally to visit a brother, friend, and to discuss issues as regards our party nationally, and to reiterate our commitment to the unwavering support that he has given to this party right from when he became governor”.

Damagum stated, “Today, we came as a friendly visit, but to discuss, like I earlier say, so many things. As a committed brother, me and him have come along way, and he has been very supportive, and he has also given me his commitment to continue to do so that we would have one united party”.

Ambassador Umaru Damagum told Nigerians generally that PDP is a brand, and the only surviving party since 1998, that has tested so manu turbulences and came out of them strong, hence they are today reorganizing and uniting themselves to make sure that come 2027, they take what rightfully belong to them.

[13/10, 18:08] MUHAMMED KAWU: He expressed regret that those Nigerian electorates who collected spaghetti and wrappers to vote fully sell their conscience to bring the incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are those Nigerians today who mostly bear the brunt of their actions and inactions.

Damagum explained that those at the helm of affairs of the nation sarcastically come on board without necessarily any blue print for governance, as they simply claimed that it is their time to govern, stressing “Claiming is your time when you didn’t prepare for the governance, one cannot get anything tangible out of it”.

The PDP Chief concluded, “Those that collected spaghetti and wrappers to bring this government to power are feeling it more than anybody else, and this should be a lesson for all of us, that we should look for credibility, those that are actually proven and tested, those who are ready to governance, not those who claims it is their time”.

Those along with the PDP Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umaru Ilya Damagum, included Adamawa state PDP chairman, Barr A.T. Shehu; his Borno state counterpart, Hon. Zanna Gadzama;  Senator Umar Al-Gash PDP Yobe state chairman; and Major General Amon K. Koskebe, the Gombe state PDP chairman
