The Director-General of the Campaign Organization of Katsina politician Lawal Musa Daura, Alhaji Ali Sani, has disclosed that several opposition political parties are courting the Governorship aspirant and his supporters ahead of the 2027 General elections.
Ali Sani said the growing interest from various political parties underscores Lawal Musa Daura’s rising influence and strong grassroots support across Katsina State.
According to him, party leaders and political stakeholders from different opposition platforms have reached out, urging Daura to join their ranks and fly their governorship ticket in the next election.
He noted that consultations are ongoing and that all options are being carefully considered in the interest of supporters and the people of the state.
The campaign DG, however, appealed to supporters to remain calm, united, and law-abiding while discussions continue.
“Many opposition parties have approached us and are calling on Lawal Musa Daura and his supporters to join them for their governorship tickets. We urge our supporters across Katsina State to remain patient and peaceful as the appropriate decision will be announced at the right time,” Ali Sani said.
Political analysts say the intense interest in Daura from opposition parties highlights his growing relevance in Katsina’s political landscape and could significantly influence alignments ahead of the governorship contest.
