The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kebbi State Council, has congratulated Governor Nasir Idris on his three years in office, praising his administration for what it described as purposeful and impactful leadership across the state.
In a statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Bello Sarki Abubakar, and Secretary, Comrade Ismail Adebayo, the union commended the governor’s achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, rural electrification and human capital development.
The NUJ said Governor Idris’ people-oriented programmes and policies have continued to improve the welfare of citizens and drive meaningful development in various communities across Kebbi State.
The council also applauded the cordial relationship between the state government and media organisations, describing it as a reflection of the governor’s respect for press freedom and recognition of the media’s role in strengthening democracy and societal growth.
While celebrating the milestone, the union expressed confidence that the administration would sustain its development drive and deliver more democratic dividends to the people.
The journalists’ body further prayed for Allah’s guidance, wisdom and protection for Governor Nasir Idris as he continues to lead the state toward greater progress and prosperity.
