A new leadership chapter has begun at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) College of Peace and Disaster Management in Katsina, as Nuhu Dalha steps in as Acting College Commandant following a ceremonial handover.
The transition coincided with a colourful send-off for two veteran officers—Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma and Bishir Iliyasu Saulawa—who officially retired upon attaining the mandatory age of 60.
The event, held on April 23 at the College’s Sports Complex, drew colleagues, subordinates, family members, and friends, all gathered to celebrate years of dedicated service.
Tributes poured in for the retirees, with speakers highlighting their commitment, professionalism, humility, and unwavering service to the Corps.
In their farewell remarks, the departing officers urged personnel to uphold discipline, dedication, and the fear of God in the discharge of their duties.
The ceremony featured interfaith prayers for a fulfilling retirement life, reflecting unity across religious lines.
The memorable occasion wrapped up with group photographs, marking both an end of an era and the dawn of a new leadership phase at the institution.
