As Easter approaches, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Katsina State is ramping up security measures with the deployment of 2,000 personnel.
Commandant Jamilu A. Indabawa issued the Easter Operational Order, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.
Speaking at the Command Headquarters in Katsina, Commandant Indabawa urged heads of departments, area commanders, divisional officers, and special forces to demonstrate commitment, professionalism, and coordination in ensuring tight security during the Easter celebration.
“Personnel deployed must be vigilant, diligent, and professional while collaborating effectively with other security agencies,” stated Commandant Indabawa.
Adequate undercover operatives have also been stationed strategically to gather actionable intelligence and address any suspicious activities promptly.
The public was encouraged to report any suspicious movements or items to the nearest NSCDC office, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in maintaining security.
Commandant Indabawa extended Easter greetings to all Christian faithful in the state, wishing for a joyous and safe celebration.
