Katsina, March 19, 2025 – In a gesture of compassion and generosity, the Katsina State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, took to the streets of Katsina metropolis today, personally distributing Ramadan food packages to the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.
Commandant Ahmad, while handing out the essential food items—including rice and spaghetti—emphasized the importance of solidarity and support, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distribution covered key locations across the metropolis, starting from the NSCDC State Command Headquarters, passing through IBB Way, and reaching Kandahar Juma’at Mosque, Daki Tara, Kofar Soro, and Gambarawa Quarters. Vulnerable women and elderly individuals received the packages with gratitude, showering prayers on the Commandant for his kindness.
In a separate development, Commandant Ahmad, on behalf of the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR, presented a cheque to the family of the late Mal. Nura Shehu as part of the NSCDC’s Group Life Insurance scheme. This initiative underscores CG Audi’s commitment to the welfare of personnel and their families, ensuring that the sacrifices of fallen officers do not go unnoticed.
The beneficiaries of both acts of kindness expressed deep appreciation, commending the NSCDC leadership for its unwavering support to both the living and the departed.
