The Kebbi State Government, has extended heartfelt sympathy to the people of Arewa Local Government Area over the recent banditry attack at Fesken Rafi, that claimed the lives of innocent citizens.
Extending the state government’s condolences, the Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, who led government delegation to the affected community, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to tackle the menace of banditry.
He assured residents that additional security personnel and operational resources would be deployed to the area to restore peace and prevent further incursions.
Senator Umar Tafida consoled the bereaved families to accept the incident as the will of Allah, quoting a verse from the Holy Qur’an. He offered prayers for Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant them Jannatul Firdausi.
Earlier in their remarks, the Chairman of Arewa Local Government, Hon. Sani Aliyu Tela, and the Member representing Arewa Local Government in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Nuradeen Usman Kangiwa, also sympathized with the people. They informed the Deputy Governor that the incident occurred a few days ago and resulted in the loss of lives.
They commended the state government for its unweaving commitment to overcome insecurity in the area and for responding promptly to the plight of the state affected communities.
Also speaking, the Dikkon Kabi, Alhaji Kabiru Sulaiman who represented the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, and the District Head of Bui, Alhaji Abubakar Dan-malam, thanked the state government for its concern and intervention over the incident.
They appealed to Nasiru Idris led administration to consider the construction of a road project to link Fesken Rafi with the main road in order to improve access for security agencies and facilitate socio-economic activities.
