Governor Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has issued a stern directive to the APC leadership, demanding strict sanctions against any member found guilty of anti-party activities.

This directive came in response to a report from a committee investigating such actions during the recent re-run election for the Faskari-Sabua-Kankara federal constituency, commissioned by the APC leadership.

Governor Radda emphasized the urgent need for thorough reconciliation, proposing the formation of a robust committee to address factionalism at the grassroots level, particularly in areas where the party is divided.

The committee’s chairman, Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi, a former state deputy governor, presented a five-point recommendation report.

He highlighted the committee’s adherence to party and national constitutional provisions and its unbiased approach in investigating accusations of anti-party activities.

During their investigation, the committee uncovered instances of sabotage, especially in Faskari local government, leading to factionalization within the party in Sankara and Faskari.

Alhaji Jikamshi urged swift action to overcome these divisions and restore unity within the APC.

The report was officially handed over to the state APC chairman, Sani Aliyu Daura, who then presented it to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, signaling a call to action for cohesive party dynamics in Katsina State.
