KADSIPA,Save the Children International Celebrate Women’s Day with Dialogue in Kaduna

The Kaduna Social Investment Programme Agency in collaboration with Save the Children International, has organized dialogue as part of activities designed to commemorate the 2024 International Women’s Day Celebration in the State.

The theme of the event , which was funded by FCDO and Kaduna Social Protection and Accountability Coalition (KADSPAC) is : “Financial inclusion A Pathway to Investing in women for Accelerated Progress in Kaduna State “.

In his remarks, the State Coordinator of KADSIPA , Umar Sani Maikudi said that dialogue was not just celebration but a call to action, adding that it was an opportunity for them to engage in meaningful discussions, share insight and collaboration on innovative solutions that could drive change.

” We are privileged to have among us a diverse groups of participants women entrepreneurs, business managers, civil society organisations government officials and women captured on the register generated by financial inclusion and literacy Committee”

He said that Kaduna State Government was taking a bold step towards financial inclusion with the signing of the financial inclusion in Kaduna State order 2023.

Speaking further, he said that the ground breaking initiative was aimed at addressing the 2 .1 million poor under served and vulnerable citizens in rural areas by equipping them with make sound investment decision for championing prosperity in the state.

On her part, the Manager, Advocacy Campaign and Policy , Save the Children International , Murjanatu Kabir said that save the children was focusing on children by ensuring improved life for them and protect them against any form of violence and abuses.

She said that financial inclusion was very key, stressing that women and children in communities would feel the impact.

According to her, no success could be achieved without a women as everyday was important for a women, reminding them that no success could be achieved without recognizing women as care givers.

“She said that Save the Children and other development partners were supporting all sectors that would strengthen the success of women in the world”

Highlight of event was panel discussion on Financial Inclusion : A Pathway to Investing in women Accelerated Progress in Kaduna State , stories of resilience and success from women leaders.
