Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has received three outstanding Katsina State medical students who excelled at the 10th BDS and 24th MBBS Joint Induction Ceremony held at Bayero University, Kano.
Presenting the students, the Special Assistant on Student Matters to the Governor, Muhammad Nagaske, said they distinguished themselves through exceptional academic performance, bringing pride and honour to Katsina State.
Governor Radda expressed delight over their success, saying:
“I am deeply proud of your exceptional accomplishments and the honour you have brought to Katsina State. Your success is a clear testament to your hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence. You have proven yourselves worthy ambassadors of our state.”
He congratulated the students and commended their achievements as a reflection of dedication, discipline, and academic excellence.
Among the honourees, Abubakar Zango emerged as Best Overall Graduating Student, winning four awards in Medicine, Surgery, and Biochemistry. Dr. Abba secured three awards in Physiology, Anatomy, and Pharmacology, while Fatima was recognised as Best in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
The General Manager of the Hospital Management Board, Muhammad Nazir, also commended the Governor for his continued support to medical education and student development in the state.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Dr. Abubakar Zango expressed gratitude to the Governor for his encouragement and unwavering support to Katsina students within and outside Nigeria.
