Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, held a crucial meeting with security agencies, community leaders, and key stakeholders from Katsina Local Government Area to discuss rising insecurity.
The meeting focused particularly on the growing incidents of gang fights and clashes among street gangs within the metropolis.
The engagement, led by the Executive Chairman of Katsina Local Government, Hon. Isah Miqdad, brought together a high-powered delegation to interface with the Governor on urgent security concerns and explore coordinated solutions.
Deliberations centred on assessing the current security situation, identifying emerging threats, and exploring practical measures to strengthen safety and restore public confidence across the local government area.
Governor Radda pledged full government support to Katsina Local Government in addressing the challenge, emphasizing the need for strong collaboration among security agencies, community leaders, and residents to end the menace.
The meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Hon. Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu; the Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Fadila Mohammed Dikko; and the Member representing Katsina LGA in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Aliyu Abubakar Albaba.
Also in attendance were the Commissioner of Police, heads of other security agencies, as well as traditional rulers, religious leaders, and members of the business community in Katsina Local Government Area.
