Katsina State Government has announced plans to reconstruct the 19-kilometre Garo-Yar Riga-Randawa road in Mashi Local Government Area.
Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda made the disclosure while inaugurating one of 60 newly established Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) centres in Mashi.
The road project, the Governor said, has already been captured under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAMP). It will be executed in due course.
“The reconstruction of this road will enhance connectivity. It will ease the transportation of agricultural produce. It will support rural development,” Governor Radda said.
The Governor appealed to residents of the affected communities to remain patient while awaiting the commencement of the project.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving both healthcare delivery and infrastructure across the state.
“We are committed to transforming Katsina through better roads and better health services,” the Governor emphasized.
The road reconstruction forms part of broader efforts to improve rural infrastructure and boost economic activities in the state.
Governor Radda was accompanied by Chief of Staff Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, Principal Private Secretary Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji, and other members of the State Executive Council.
