Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has received a prestigious Fellowship award from the Nigeria Computer Society.
The award, presented by the President of the National Computer Society, Professor Muhammad Surajo Aliyu, recognizes Governor Radda leadership in advancing digital transformation and innovation across Katsina State.
The Governor, while receiving the award on friday in Katsina, said the honour is a push to do more. He also noted it is a recognition of his service to the people of Katsina.
“This award motivates us to continue our work in transforming Katsina through digital innovation. It confirms that our efforts are yielding results,” the Governor said.
Governor Radda thanked the Nigeria Computer Society for the fellowship award, noting that the Building Your Future administration will continue to invest in the systems, people, and infrastructure that make digital transformation real.
Earlier, Prof. Aliyu, on behalf of the society commended Governor Radda-led government for his monumental strides and continuous investment in the digital ecosystem, adding that the track records of his achievements made him fit for the fellowship award.
However, it is imperative to note that the establishment of the Katsina State Directorate of Information, Communication and Technology (KATDICT) formed the foundation for the digital transformation in the state.

The second layer is Digital Infrastructure. Katsina is investing in the expansion of fiber optic connectivity across government institutions and development of core digital public infrastructure.
The Governor has been commended for his investment in human capital development which equipped the state civil servants with digital capabilities, young people gained skills in artificial intelligence and robotics.
The event was attended by top government officials including KATDICT Director General Naufal Ahmad among others.
