Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, has officially approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for state civil servants, effective December 2024.

The decision, outlined in a memo signed by the governor, follows recommendations from the state’s Minimum Wage Committee. The committee also proposed reconciling local government finances to ensure a seamless transition to the new wage structure for local government employees.
