Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed had an audience with elder statesmen and Nigeria’s former military president and Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (rtd) and Gen. Abdussalam Abubakar respectfully in Minna, Niger State capital.
The former FCT minister who was in Minna weekend to condole the country’s former leaders over the demise of late Gen Garba Duba who served as military governor of Bauchi state in past military regimes, also sought sage advice, seek guidance, and garner wisdom from the statesmen .
A Bauchi Government House press statement signed by the New Media Aide to the governor, Lawal Mu’azu, said that Senator Bala Mohammed also visited the Niger state former governor, Mohammed Umar Bago who described him as an inspirational leader
Bago acknowledged that the Bauchi State Governor has set a pace that would serve as an example for any leader who is willing to serve his people.
Earlier, Governor Bala Muhammad has in his remarks, commended the infrastructural efforts of the former governor in transforming Niger state, saying Bogo’s remarkable achievements have placed Niger state on higher pedestal of development.
Bago accompanied Senator Bala Mohammed to the residences of the two former Nigerian leaders, Generals Ibrahim Babangida and Abdulsalami Abubakar for the condolence over the demise late Gen. Garba Duba (Rtd.)
Governor Bala Mohammed recalled that late Gen. Duba performed incredibly well and contributed greatly to the development of Bauchi during his tenure as military governor of the state
Bala was accompanied to the visit by his Principal Personal Secretary, Pharmacist Samaila Adamu Burga, Commissioner for Water Resources, Abdulrazaq Nuhu Zaki as well as his wife, Dr. A’isha Bala Muhammad, the first Sarauniyyar Bauchi
