Governor Aliyu’s Aide Appreciates CDS’ Commitment to Peace, Education Devt in Sokoto state

The Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State on Security Matters, Retired Col. Ahmed Usman, has expressed appreciation to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, for his focus on restoring security in the state.

Speaking to newsmen, Colonel Usman noted that General Musa has been supportive of the state government’s efforts to secure the state against banditry and other forms of insecurity.

“The CDS has always responded to our requests, and as a result, the state has seen minimal attacks, mostly by bandits fleeing military onslaught.”

Colonel Usman stated that the government is keen on restoring security in the eastern part of the state, allowing displaced farmers to return to their communities and resume farming activities.

“Since General Musa took office, he has visited Sokoto several times to assess the progress of the fight against banditry.

He has also demonstrated firm commitment to the welfare of the troops.”

The Special Adviser also commended General Musa for his contribution to the state’s educational development, particularly by renovating his alma mata, Malam Yahaya Abdulkareem Model Primary School, and supporting its staff.

Colonel Usman reiterated the state government’s commitment to security and the general well-being of its people.
