Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Maulid Nabiyyi, urging unity and cooperation among council members.
The Governor Explained During the 19th council meeting while emphasized the importance of working together, stating “Fear not, we are here to complement each other.”
The Governor expressed happiness with the resumption of schools, noting that children are now learning in a conducive environment. He assured the council of his commitment to fulfilling promises,
He said particularly in education, which has been declared a state of emergency. Key initiatives among,Free Uniforms, Distribution across 44 local government areas
”Our administration Learning Materials: Approval of 1.8 billion naira for purchase
”We Committee setup with 9 commissioners and stakeholders yielded positive results, with over 73,800 chairs and desks for 220,000 children.
The Governor added that Monetary allocation to Community Reorientation Committee (CRC) for general renovations and furniture, nearing 70% completion
Governor Abba Kabir also called on teachers to take their work seriously, promising better welfare packages. He emphasized priority support for girl child education and entrepreneurship.
The government extended appreciation to NITDA for providing an ICT center and 16 computers to the Hisbah Board. Governor Abba Yusuf also offered condolences to Governor Prof.Baba Gana Zulum and the people of Borno State over the flood disaster.
The Governor added that his administration will do their best to build Houses for those who are affected by Flood accross the state.
He further said ”we are commisrate with the good peoples of kano for floods and condoled with family that lost some of their members.
”as you see we are working Day and night to address and assist our peoples facing this
challenge here in Kano.
Abba Yusuf maintain that they send delegate to Borno state Government to Condoled and emphasized with Borno Peoples over Flood incidents.
The Governor assured the people of Kano that his administration remains resolute and focused on continuing laudable projects. He urged commissioners to fear nobody emphasizing the importance of unity and defending their legacy.
Additionally, he promised to build modern houses for flood-affected areas in Kano, free of charge.
