….Dujima Announces Additional 500 Motorcycles, 560 Employment Opportunities for Constituents
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has delivered 100 motorcycles and commissioned the Haj. Zulaihat Dikko Radda Skills Acquisition Centre, Hisbah Division Office and two mass transit vehicles, while launching a series of empowerment and community development initiatives in Matazu Local Government Area.
The Governor spoke on Wednesday at the Matazu Local Government Secretariat, where he said the interventions were designed to strengthen skills development, transportation, security, youth empowerment and social support for vulnerable members of the community.
The 100 motorcycles delivered at the event were provided by the Member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, is part of previous 500 motorcycles provided by the Dujima.
Governor Radda commended Dujima for his constituency interventions and commitment to expanding opportunities for constituents, particularly through empowerment programmes targeted at young people and other beneficiaries.
He welcomed Dujima’s announcement of an additional 500 motorcycles for beneficiaries across Matazu and Musawa, noting that the initiative would extend economic opportunities to more people within the federal constituency.
The Governor also welcomed the lawmaker’s announcement of 560 employment opportunities for constituents, including efforts to facilitate permanent and pensionable appointments for qualified beneficiaries.
He said such interventions demonstrated the importance of collaboration among the state government, local government councils, elected representatives and community stakeholders in addressing the socio-economic needs of the people.
Governor Radda also acknowledged the support of the First Lady of Katsina State, Haj. Zulaihat Dikko Radda, through the Gwagware Foundation, particularly its assistance to caregivers of orphans and other less-privileged members of society.
He urged beneficiaries of the various empowerment programmes to use the opportunities and materials provided productively, stressing that the ultimate objective was to improve livelihoods, strengthen families and contribute to community development.
Earlier, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, Dujiman Katsina, said his constituency interventions were aimed at complementing government efforts and providing direct economic opportunities to people at the grassroots.
Dujima said the initiatives were also inspired by the grassroots development approach of the Radda administration, particularly its emphasis on empowering young people, supporting vulnerable groups and creating opportunities for self-reliance.
He explained that the 100 motorcycles being delivered formed part of his constituency empowerment programme and announced an additional 500 motorcycles to expand the initiative across Matazu and Musawa Local Government Areas.
Dujima said the motorcycles were intended to provide beneficiaries with means of livelihood and mobility while strengthening economic activity at the grassroots.
He also announced that his office had secured 560 employment opportunities for constituents and was pursuing efforts to facilitate permanent and pensionable appointments for beneficiaries.
He said the employment initiative was part of his commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for constituents and pledged to continue seeking additional employment and empowerment opportunities through his office.
The lawmaker called on beneficiaries and constituents to make productive use of the opportunities provided, maintain peaceful coexistence and support community development.
He also urged party members to remain united and committed to the progress of the constituency.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Matazu Local Government Council, Hon. Shamsuddeen Muhammad, commended Governor Radda for supporting grassroots development and described the commissioning of the projects and launch of empowerment initiatives as significant for the people of the area.
He said the council had provided the Hisbah Division Office, two motorcycles and two mass transit vehicles, while also supporting 500 women, 250 youths and 250 elders with cash empowerment. The council also provided 30 smartphones to social media activists.
Hon. Shamsuddeen commended the Governor’s support for local government administration, particularly increased funding and financial autonomy, which he said had enabled councils to implement more grassroots-oriented programmes.
He also commended security agencies for their sacrifices in protecting communities and recalled the security challenges previously experienced in Matazu.
On his part, the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa, commended Dujima for his constituency projects and empowerment programmes.
He said the interventions had provided tangible support to constituents and commended the collaboration among the state government, local government administration, elected representatives and community stakeholders.

Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; Executive Director of Agricultural Services at the Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA) and Chairman of the Board of Amana Microfinance Bank, Alhaji Muntaka Badaru Jikamshi; Alhaji Aminu SDY; Alhaji Mansir Sarkin Arewa; members of the Katsina State Executive Council; neighbouring local government chairmen; traditional and religious leaders; community representatives and other stakeholders.
