Governor of Yobe state Hon. Mai Mala Buni met with leaders and elders of Tarmuwa local government area to review the condition of victims of the recent Mafa Attack.
In a press released by Mamman Mohammed the DG press and media Affairs to the governor said, the meeting chaired by Gov. Buni was attended by the chairman Tarmuwa local government council Mohammed Musa Lamido, the Emir of Jajere Mai Hamza Ibn Buba Mashio, political leaders and other key stakeholders.
The meeting looked into the general welfare of the displaced persons, the health, sanitation and other needs of the victims as well as infrastructure in the host communities.
It also looked into areas of improvement to meet the needs of the victims to provide succor to all affected persons.
Gov. Buni said government is committed to ensuring that the needs of the victims are provided to make them comfortable before they return to their communities.
The chairman of the council Mohammed Lamido, commended the state government for providing the victims with basic needs.
Similarly, the Emir of Jajere, Mai Hamza Ibn Buba, also commended the state government for the care and concern to the displaced persons.
Alh. Mala Musty, Chairman of the Critical Stakeholders Forum, commended Gov. Buni for meeting the Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Christopher Musa, to improve security in the area.
He appealed for provision of adequate security in the area as farmers are gearing up to commence harvest of their farms.
