Delivering on our commitment to data-driven governance, the Director-General of GOSIDEC, Dr. Al-ameen Barambu and his management team, officially handed over the newly developed Gombe State Data Dissemination Platform to the Statistician-General, and his management team.
Following a strategic engagement few weeks back where the Gombe State Bureau of Statistics sought GOSIDEC’s technical support to address reliance on unofficial, unverified data sources, GOSIDEC took the lead in designing, building, and deploying a secure, centralized digital portal.
The newly launched, platform will serve as the single source of truth for verified official statistics, state reports, and key economic metrics, making authoritative data easily accessible to citizens, researchers, government institutions, and international development partners.
Receiving the platform, the Statistician-General, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Dule, expressed profound gratitude to GOSIDEC for its swift intervention and technical excellence, noting that the portal resolves a major reporting challenge for the state.
Speaking during the handover ceremony at the GOSIDEC Headquarters, Dr. Al-ameen Barambu reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to providing continuous hosting, cybersecurity, and technical maintenance for the portal, emphasizing that strengthening digital government aligns directly with His Excellency Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s vision for a transparent and modernized Gombe State.
This successful inter-agency partnership marks a major milestone in transforming how official state data is published, accessed, and utilized across Gombe State! GOSIDEC is committed to supporting MDAs with innovative digital solutions, continuously delivering on its mandate of driving digitisation, digital transformation and improved service delivery across Gombe State.
