Gombe Bye Election: INEC Deploys Sensitive Materials to 903 Polling Units

Sensitive electoral materials for the Gombe-Kwami-Funakaye Federal Constituency bye-election have been distributed to the three participating local government areas under tight security.

The materials were distributed at the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) office in Gombe.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Umar Mukhtar Gajiram , who signed the sensitive materials, expressed satisfaction with the distribution process.

He said any ballot paper that is not duly signed would be regarded as invalid.

The REC disclosed that the bye-election will be conducted in 903 polling units across 31 wards in Gombe, Kwami and Funakaye Local Government Areas.

The REC advised voters to conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the election.

He also urged electoral officials to adhere strictly to the ethics and guidelines governing the conduct of the election.

The sensitive materials were signed by the REC under the watch of security personnel, INEC officials, Party officials and representatives of the three local government areas.
