Egyptian football manager Hossam has ignited a major controversy after launching a blistering attack on tournament organizers, alleging that his side’s World Cup clash against Argentina was manipulated.
Speaking after Egypt’s dramatic 3-2 defeat to Argentina in the Round of 16, an emotional Hossam insisted the outcome had been predetermined, claiming the match was “clearly rigged.”
“I’ll speak my mind regardless of the consequences,” the Egyptian coach declared. “This match was clearly rigged, and the whole world saw it.”
The outspoken manager did not stop there, intensifying the controversy with another explosive remark directed at the tournament organizers.
“And one more thing—if they want Argentina to win so badly, why invite everyone else to compete?” he asked.
