The united quolition of political parties Sokoto, has called on Sokoto independed Electoral Commission (SIEC) to conduct free, fair and credible local elections that will be acceptable to all.
The chairman of the quolition parties, Ally Abba Sidi stated that the call became necessary due to past experience when such elections became a one party show of shame.
He also enjoyed leaders of contesting parties to call there followers to order before, during and after the elections, while he also urged the security agents not to be partisan and abide by their oaths of offices.
Abba Sidi, while addressing the press on the quolition stand on the local council elections stated for September 2024 urged members of the media practitioners in the state not to be partisan but give every political parties equal vigats.
The therefore urged all parties to play the game according to the rules by playing politics without Bitterness “courtesy of Ally Ibrahim Waziri” of blessed memory.
Meanwhile the SIECHES issued statements to assured that plans are at hand to ensure credible elections in the state come September 2024.
It could be recall that Governor Ahmed Aliy had hinted that the local council elections will come no sooner than later in the coming months.
