Under the vigilant leadership of Commandant CC Jamilu A. Indabawa, the Katsina State Command has achieved a significant milestone in combating crime.
Today, we commend the dedication and hard work of our personnel, particularly the special Antivandal Unit attached to Sabon Gida Division, for their successful arrest of two suspected vandals.
The apprehended suspects, Ibrahim Rabiu and Wada Tanimu, both residents of Daddara Village in Jibia Local Government area of Katsina State, specialize in vandalizing electricity wires and theft.
Acting on credible intelligence, our Antivandal Unit swiftly acted and arrested these individuals, who confessed to their crimes.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspects vandalized aluminium wires at Kusa Junction along Jibia Road on March 19, 2024. They also disclosed their involvement in similar criminal activities in the past, including selling stolen aluminium wire to accomplices.
Thanks to the diligent efforts of our Antivandal team, 25 pieces of aluminium conductor were recovered as exhibits. The suspects will face prosecution in court once the thorough investigation is completed.
Commandant Indabawa urges the people of Katsina State to uphold law and order, while also warning criminals to cease their unlawful activities. The Command remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring a peaceful environment for all citizens, and we call on the public to continue supporting security agencies by providing actionable intelligence.
Together, we will combat crime and uphold the safety and security of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
