Katsina state government

In a heartfelt message on World Blood Donor Day, Captain Ibrahim Traore, the leader of Burkina Faso’s military junta,

lauded the relentless efforts of the National Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS), blood donation associations, and selfless volunteers.

He commended these heroes for ensuring the availability of vital blood supplies in both public and private hospitals.

Despite the commendable efforts, Traore highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by blood banks, particularly during the malaria season.

He called on Burkinabè citizens, especially the youth, students, and rural dwellers, to show solidarity by regularly donating blood to save lives.
