Former President Muhammadu Buhari has officially relocated to Kaduna after spending two years in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State, since leaving office in May 2023. Opting for a quiet life away from active politics, Buhari had largely focused on private engagements.

His return to Kaduna today was marked by a high-profile entourage led by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Also in attendance were Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, current and former Deputy Governors of Katsina State, a former Inspector General of Police, ex-ministers, and several of Buhari’s personal aides.
