A major political decision has reshaped the race for the Kankia/Kusada/Ingawa Federal Constituency as Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada revealed that the APC consensus committee has officially excluded Kusada and Kankia LGAs from contesting the House of Representatives seat.
According to the lawmaker’s update, the committee—led by Ahmed Musa Dangiwa—reached the resolution during a crucial stakeholders’ meeting held in Katsina, involving key figures of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The outcome mandates Ingawa Local Government Area to produce the next candidate for the seat, effectively narrowing the field and setting the stage for a new political alignment within the constituency.
The zoning decision is already stirring reactions among party loyalists, as attention now shifts to Ingawa for the emergence of a consensus candidate in the high-stakes contest.
