All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders, elders, youth and women groups, support organizations, and grassroots mobilizers in Bauchi state have been urged to close ranks, put heads together, and embrace one another as partners in a common drive to ensure victory for the party comes 2027 polls.
The M.A. Abubakar Grassroot Mobilisation Project tendered the passionate appeal following the successful conduct of the APC primary elections across all elective offices which saw the emergence of the former as the gubernatorial flag-bearer in the forthcoming general elections.
The grassroots mobilization project which encampasse politicians, technocrats, academia, legal luminaries, among others, congratulated all flag-bearers of the party in the state, as well as aspirants, critical stakeholders, party faithful and supporters of the APC who contributed in one way or the other towards the successful conclusion of the party’s primaries in the state.
“We particularly congratulated Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN on his emergence as the APC Governorship candidate of Bauchi state. His emergence is a demonstration of the confidence reposed in him on the need for continuity, his leadership, experience, capacity, and unwavering commitment to the development of Bauchi State and the advancement of our great party”.
The project in a press statement Monday noted that as the journey towards the electoral victory of the former governor for a second term in office commences in earnest, there is the need the promotion of party unity and reconciliation across all wards, local governments, and senatorial districts of Bauchi state.

Dr Suleiman Malami, Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, Barr. Umar Ahmed Faruq Gwadabe, and Shamsuddeen M. Salihu Esq, who vowed to mobilize grassroots support specifically for the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Governorship Candidate, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN ahead of the general elections.
They also poised to support the transformation Agenda of the former governor Mohammed Abubakar by advocating policies with clear visions that promote economic growth, quality education, improved health care, agriculture, infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, security, and social and improved welfare for our employees and respect for traditional institutions among others
Mobilizers emphasized the need to
empower youths and women to participate in governance, political leadership, and community development, and to build a stronger APC structure that could deliver electoral victory at all levels in the state, saying the project was convinced that with unity of purpose, discipline, and collective commitment, the APC will emerge stronger and better positioned to reclaim the state for the benefit of its citizens.
“As a dedicated project, we are firmly committed to the success of the APC and call on all party members to recognize that the primary election process has come to an end and that the task before us now is the greater challenge of securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming general election”, the statement said.
It argued that primary elections have produced different outcomes for various aspirants and their supporters, but it must not divide party disciples, as democracy thrives on competition, where every aspirant participate contribute immensely to strengthening the party, hence all party members should rally behind governorship candidate and work collectively towards a common goal.
“We also call for forgiveness, understanding, and genuine commitment among all stakeholders. Understandably, the primary election may have left some members dissatisfied. However, this is the time to put aside personal grievances, political differences, and past misunderstandings in the greater interest of our party and our state”.
“The sacrifices required to build a winning political movement that can only be achieved through unity, tolerance, and mutual respect. The ultimate aim is to clinch to victory, and that as only possible when we remain united and committed to the course of seeing the success of Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN and all other flag-bearers of APC across the state. It is not time for defection. It time for reconnection and joining hands together for victory”.
“The APC family in Bauchi state must remain ever united, focused, and determined than before, so that we confront other flag-bearers in the general election. Former governor Abubakar is human and therefore bound to make mistake in steering his first tenure in office, though he performed well as a Governor and of course with some challenges here and there”.
Dr. Sanusi Magsji explained that the time for contest is over, as its time for unity is now, and urged all aggrieved to forgive, reconcile, mobilize, and move forward together toward a brighter future for Bauchi state and the country in general.
The statement said that now it is not time for lamentation, but to give the former governor a second chance to lead the state, emphasizing that Bauchi is going to witness transformational development that shall forever remain in the anal of history of the state, expressing confidence that by 2031, M.A. Abubakar’s tenure would be described as one of the best for Bauchi State.
