The death has occurred of the former chairman of Makarfi local government area, Alhaji Dan’asabe Aliyu Mayere.
He died at 10:30 pm on Friday 10th May, 2024 in his resident after a brief illness at the age of sixty two years.
Before his death, Dan’asabe Aliyu Mayere served as councilor of Mayere Ward under Social Democratic Party SDP. After the returned of Democracy in 1999, Dan’abe Mayere was a two terms vice chairman of Makarfi local government area and one term executive chairman of the same Local government under the platform of Peoplev Democratic Party PDP. Later he appointed Sole Administrator of Gubuchi Development area council.
He left behind four wives, nineteen children and many grand children.
He has been buried according to Islamic injunction in his home Mayere.
