In a dramatic crackdown on drug trafficking, Indian authorities have arrested a 40-year-old Nigerian woman linked to one of the city’s largest drug seizures. Acting on a tip-off, Bengaluru police intercepted the suspect at a rented apartment, uncovering a staggering cache of contraband, including heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine valued at millions in street sales.
Authorities described the operation as a breakthrough in their ongoing battle against international drug syndicates. The suspect, whose name remains undisclosed, allegedly coordinated a supply chain across major Indian cities.
“This is one of Bengaluru’s most significant busts,” police spokesperson Ramesh Patil said, revealing that the seized drugs could have supplied thousands of doses.
Investigations are ongoing to unearth the suspect’s network, with officials suspecting ties to a larger cartel. This arrest marks a crucial step in dismantling the drug trade threatening India’s Silicon Valley.
