2027 Politics Gather Momentum in Katsina as Massive Rally Endorses Radda, Kusada for Continuity

Borno State Government

A wave of political solidarity swept through the Kankia–Kusada–Ingawa Federal Constituency as stakeholders, youth groups, and party faithful converged at the Munaj Event Centre for a high-profile endorsement rally backing Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for a second term and reaffirming support for Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kusada in the House of Representatives.

The gathering, which drew a large cross-section of political actors, youth leaders, and community representatives, was spearheaded by the AYK Ambassadors Forum—an influential youth bloc that credited Kusada for empowerment initiatives, appointments, and sustained engagement with grassroots development.

In a show of political unity, participants unanimously endorsed Governor Radda as the preferred governorship candidate for 2027, praising his administration’s interventions in infrastructure, security, education, agriculture, and youth empowerment across Katsina State.

Speakers at the event described Radda’s leadership as “purpose-driven and impact-oriented,” noting that his policies had restored confidence in governance and delivered visible development across communities.

Similarly, Rt. Hon. Kusada was celebrated for what supporters termed “effective and people-centred representation,” with emphasis on his role in attracting projects, scholarships, job opportunities, and political appointments for constituents.

The rally also doubled as a declaration of continuity, with the AYK Ambassadors Forum stressing that their endorsement was based on performance, accessibility, and sustained community engagement by both leaders.

The event attracted notable political figures, including local government officials, state appointees, councillors, and traditional stakeholders, alongside support groups such as the Dikko 34 Support Group, Garkuwa Onetouch, and Dikko/Garkuwa Continuity Movement, all pledging unified support ahead of the 2027 elections.

Observers say the massive turnout signals early consolidation of political structures in Katsina, as aspirants and incumbents begin to position themselves for what is expected to be a highly competitive electoral cycle.

The gathering ended with prayers for peace, unity, and continued development in the state, as supporters reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining what they described as “a movement of progress and continuity” under Radda and Kusada.
