Yobe Advance team has arrived Morocco ahead of educational, agricultural and local government investment partnerships.
In a Prees statement by Mamman Mohammed the DG Prees and media affairs to the governor said His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON COMN, who is leading the state delegation is expected to arrive Morocco later.
The partnership would explore areas of investment in the potentials abound in the state for employment generation and wealth Creation.
Agriculture is one of the priority areas of the Buni administration, driving economic recovery especially among the returnee communities.
Yobe state government last year launched a massive agricultural empowerment programme with over 100 tractors, hand tillers, harvesters, sprayers, fertilizer and many other farm Implements.
Similarly, the state government declared emergency on education, and giving the sector a priority attention.
The partnership between Yobe state and the Moroccan governments is to boost the entrepreneurial education in schools across the state.
The advance team is led by the Secretary to the State Government, Baba Malam Wali, with the commissioner of Agriculture Hon. Mustapha Ali Goniri, Higher education Prof. Bello Kawuwa, commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Ibrahim Adamu Jajere, chairman Damaturu Local government Hon. Bukar Adamu, Dr. Salim Umar Muhammad and Mamman Mohammed.
