Tinubu Fighting Opposition, Not Corruption — Atiku

Katsina state government

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of using the fight against corruption as a tool to suppress opposition voices rather than tackling graft.

In a statement released on Sunday, Atiku alleged that Tinubu’s administration has selectively targeted political opponents while turning a blind eye to corruption within its own ranks. He argued that true anti-corruption efforts should be impartial and transparent, not politically motivated.

“Instead of waging a genuine war against corruption, this government is only interested in silencing dissent. Nigerians deserve better,” Atiku stated.

His comments come amid growing concerns over the fairness of recent corruption probes and arrests. The presidency is yet to respond to the allegations.
