A wave of political momentum swept through Kebbi as Governor Nasir Idris threw his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition, calling for total unity within the ruling party.
Speaking at a massive APC Unity Rally held at the Haliru Abdu Stadium, the governor urged party faithful to close ranks and rally behind the President ahead of 2027.
Idris praised Tinubu’s leadership, pointing to ongoing federal projects and interventions in Kebbi as clear signs of commitment to development and improved welfare for citizens.
“The people of Kebbi stand firmly with the President,” he declared, assuring that more dividends of democracy would flow into the state under continued APC leadership.
The rally, which drew top party stakeholders and supporters, also featured strong endorsements from APC leaders, who described the party as united and battle-ready.
However, party officials made it clear that while unity remains key, no automatic tickets will be handed out, stressing that aspirants must still emerge through consensus or primary elections.
With chants of loyalty and renewed pledges of support, the Kebbi rally has further intensified early political signals ahead of the 2027 race.
