A Spanish court has requested a 4-year and 9-month prison sentence for Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, over alleged tax fraud. Authorities accuse the Italian tactician of evading taxes on image rights earnings during his first stint at the club between 2013 and 2015.

Prosecutors claim Ancelotti concealed income through a complex financial setup, failing to declare earnings properly. While a trial date is yet to be set, the case adds legal turbulence to the football icon’s tenure as he leads Madrid’s charge for more silverware.
