Salman Dogo Handed over 15 rescued Human trafficking Victims to (NAPTIP)

Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Salman Dogo Garba has officially handed over 15 rescued human trafficking victims to the Kano Zonal Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

The victims, en route to Libya, were intercepted by officers in the Bachirawa area of Kano.

During a formal handover by the Kano State Police Command, NAPTIP’s Zonal Commander, Abdullahi Babale, revealed that the group consisted of 14 females and one male, aged between 17 and 40.

”They were identified as indigenes of Akwa Ibom, Ogun, Cross River, and Ekiti States.

”They were found at a secluded residence in Bachirawa Quarters during a police raid.

Babale commended Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo-Garba, for the rescue effort and highlighted that the victims would undergo counseling and rehabilitation before being reunited with their families.

He also emphasized the need for parents to be vigilant and protect their children from traffickers who lure them with promises of a better life abroad.

“Parents need to be vigilant and safeguard their children from exploitation,” Babale added.

He further urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to human trafficking in their communities to help combat this growing threat.
