International Women’s Day, Hajiya Maryam AA Musa, Chairperson of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) in Katsina State, extended support to the widows of deceased police officers.
The event, held on March 8, 2024, witnessed the distribution of essential relief materials and financial grants to the resilient women facing the loss of their loved ones.
The relief materials, including rice, cooking oil, sugar, and spices, aim to alleviate the challenges faced by these widows.
Each recipient received a financial grant of ₦10,000, reflecting solidarity and support during difficult times.
Hajiya Maryam AA Musa emphasized the importance of recognizing and honoring the sacrifices made by the families of police officers.
The initiative not only expresses appreciation but also stands as a symbol of empowerment and unity among women.
“As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us uplift the voices of these strong and resilient women who inspire us with their courage and perseverance,” remarked the POWA Chairperson during the event.
