Former President Olusegun Obasanjo suggested on Monday that Nigeria could seek collaboration with the Zimbabwean government to tackle the current unprecedented level of inflation in the country.
Obasanjo emphasized that, given Zimbabwe’s recent success in overcoming a similar challenge, the southern African country could provide valuable insights for Nigeria.
He stated, “During tough times, the tough must get going. No problem is new, and no problem is permanent.
Committing suicide is not the solution to any problem. Confront it and take it to God because he can do anything.
When faced with a problem, look at those who have experienced similar issues before and learn how they overcame them.
“We are currently dealing with galloping inflation in the country. Have we seen a country with such problems recently? Yes, we have – Zimbabwe faced a similar problem.
Shouldn’t we inquire about their approach, even if ours will be different? We can ask questions to navigate our way out, even if our strategies differ.”
