NSCDC Busts Vandal Duo at Gidan Kwakwa

The Katsina Command of the NSCDC has scored a significant victory, capturing two alleged vandals responsible for wreaking havoc at the Federal Housing Estate Gidan Kwakwa.

Under the dynamic leadership of Commandant Corps Jamilu A. Indabawa, the Command’s relentless efforts to combat criminal activities have borne fruit.

The apprehended suspects, Aminu Sani and Ahmed Abdullahi, are accused of being part of a notorious syndicate specializing in public infrastructure vandalism and theft.

Aminu Sani, aged 19, from Farin Yaro Quarters, and Ahmed Abdullahi, aged 23, from Unguwar Alkali Quarters, were caught red-handed following enhanced NSCDC and community collaboration.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the recent vandalism incident on April 6th, where they allegedly conspired to dismantle electric wires and fittings at the Housing Estate.

The recovered evidence, including pliers, a water tap, service wires, and a circuit breaker, further substantiates their involvement in these criminal acts.

Commandant Indabawa commended the swift action of his team and urged the people of Katsina to remain law-abiding while assuring heightened security measures.

Command reiterated its commitment to rooting out vandals and other criminal elements, calling on the public to provide actionable intelligence for enhanced security.

This commendable effort underscores NSCDC’s dedication to maintaining peace and security in Katsina State and Nigeria at large.
