North-West Governors, UN Forge Development Alliance

The North-West Governors, led by Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, convened with the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mr. Mohammed Fall, in Abuja this morning.

This high-stakes meeting follows their recent discussions with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed in Washington D.C.

The agenda focused on exploring strategies for regional development, resulting in a resolution to form a technical working group dedicated to crafting a comprehensive development framework.

Attendees included Governors Uba Sani (Kaduna), Abba Kabir (Kano), Dr. Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), and Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), represented by Deputy Governor Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir.

This collaboration marks a pivotal step towards addressing the region’s developmental challenges.
