The Bauchi State government has announced the postponement of the long-awaited 15th North East Joint Domestic Trade Fair initially scheduled for 6th May, 2024 that would be officially opened here in Bauchi by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima.
It said, “The Bauchi State Government regrets to inform the general public that the 10th North East Governors’ Forum Meeting (NEGF), the 15th North East Joint Domestic Trade Fair, and the official commissioning of the New Government House, Bauchi earlier scheduled for the 4th- 6th May, 2024 have been postponed”.
The Government House press statement stated that also postponed are the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Novel Bauchi flyover and Launching of the Accelerated Senior Secondary School Education Programme originally scheduled for the same period.
The statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado Monday attributed tbe development to a result of a number of unavoidable circumstances beyond control, hence the necessity to reschedule these important events to ensure the smooth and successful execution of each of the event.
According to the adviser, the state government understood the inconvenience the events postponement may cause the public, and sincerely apologizes for any disruptions to plans.
Alh. Mukhtar Gidado further explained that organizers are working diligently to finalize new dates for these events, which will be communicated to the public in due “course.
“Government craves the indulgence of the public for understanding and continued support as it will strive to uphold the highest standards of organization and effectiveness in service delivery”, the adviser concluded.
