The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has addressed public concerns surrounding the ongoing trial of Mr. Nnamdi Emeh, emphasizing that the judicial process is independent and devoid of any police interference.
In a press release signed by ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force clarified that Mr. Emeh was arrested following credible allegations, investigated, and arraigned before the Federal High Court in Awka. The court, in line with due process, granted bail based on its established conditions.
The NPF urged the public to allow the judiciary to adjudicate the case without undue speculation or media sensationalism. “The court retains the exclusive prerogative to evaluate evidence, determine bail conditions, and guide the proceedings as required by law,” the statement read.
Reaffirming its dedication to justice and professionalism, the NPF stated that it remains committed to upholding the rule of law while ensuring accountability for all, including police officers. The Force called on media stakeholders to report responsibly and avoid unnecessary interference in the legal process.
The case against Mr. Emeh continues, as the Police reiterate their impartial stance in safeguarding justice and the rights of all Nigerians.
