The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the commencement of sales of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants seeking elective offices ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party also pegged its presidential nomination form at ₦40 million as it rolled out its timetable for the conduct of primary elections nationwide.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the NDC said the sale of expression of interest forms would begin on May 13 and end on May 18, 2026.
The statement was jointly signed by the party’s National Chairman, Moses Zuwoghe, and National Secretary, Ikenna Enekweizu.
According to the timetable released by the party, aspirants for various elective positions are expected to complete the nomination process within the stipulated period ahead of the primaries.
The development signals the official kick-off of internal political activities within the NDC as parties gradually begin preparations for the 2027 polls.
Political observers say the announcement could intensify early political alignments and consultations among aspirants positioning for key offices ahead of the next general election.
