Local CSO Lauds Gov. Buni Pledges To Support Education Reforms Agenda

An Local Civil Society Organization, Youth Assembly Of Nigerian, (YAN) through it’s Secretary, Mallam Babi Muhammed applaudes Governor Mai Mala giant stride towards revitalizing the Education Sector particularly the Basic Level, regarded as the foundation.

The commendation came when the CSO’s leadership paid a courtesy visits to the office of the Ag. Education Secretary of Nguru Local Education Authority, Mallam Hamisu Ado recent.

Babi Said, ” as a Civil Society basing in Nguru; we learn about the good things you started since your assumption of office, what actually motivated our coming is that up till this moment you have not relent in your efforts towards charting a way forward.

” Therefore, we don’t have anything to offer except to come and great you and your team”.

” It was a collective decision our coming could encourage you to do more, so without any form of hesitation – we are more than happy to have somebody like you who has good intention towards moving our Education Level to the next hight ,”

Mohammed said, ” in the past we ventured into Blood Donation to the needy, Organizes Symposium to the youth to reject hate speech, offer free counselling to the girl child especially those about to witness their first menstruation period e.t.c).

” Now, seeing the good work you started we want to identify with you , we want join hands so that we assist you in one way or the other and form part of the history.”

Responding, Mallam Hamisu Ado gave a short catalogue of what the Nguru Local Education Authority so far achieved within the last six month of his stewardship as follows:

First of all when we came in, we tried peace building and conflict resolution in order to bring all the aggrieved parties together.

Secondly, we were able to sourced for the manpower training from our development partners, as a result within the first three months were able to trained all teachers within our fold totalling 987.

Thirdly, we secured a truck of trailer loaded with teaching and learning materials which of course we constituted committee saddled with responsibility of the Distribution, the materials reached the beneficiaries direct, ( school children).

Lastly, as I am speaking to you, we were allocated a reasonable number school Furnitures, as soon as it’s ready for distribution we are going to engage you people so that you help us identify the schools needed the furniture the most.

Similar, we are happy with what the Key Performance Indicators is telling about the gained so far recorded as per as Nguru LGEA is concern.
