Kebbi Health Commissioner Satisfactory with Free Insecticide-Treated Mosquito Nets Distribution

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Samaila Yakubu Augie, has expressed satisfaction the way health workers and volunteers are conducting the distribution of free treated mosquito nets across the state.

While commending the dedication and commitment of the distributors, the Commissioner described the initiative as a significant step taken by the state government to combat malaria, which remains one of the major public health challenges affecting the population, particularly children and pregnant women.

He expressed confidence that, the officials on the exercise would ensure that every household across the state benefited and will complete the distribution within the period.

The Commissioner also called on the people to cooperate with the officials, collect the mosquito nets, and make proper use of them in order to achieve the goal of reducing the spread of malaria in the state.

Alhaji Yakubu Augie, assured that the State Ministry of Health will continue to introduce effective programs and policies aimed at improving public health and safeguarding the lives of citizens.

Over three million treated mosquito nets would be distributed across the state.
