The Katsina State Library Board erupted in joy on Tuesday as staff celebrated one of their own, Hajiya Halimatu Abubakar Masanawa, who was honored with a brand-new car gift from Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON.
The presentation, which took place on August 23 during activities marking Katsina State’s 38th anniversary, was part of the governor’s recognition program for outstanding civil servants.
Director of the Library Board, Alhaji Shafi’u Abdullahi Bugaje, hailed the award as proof that government values the hard work and sacrifices of its workforce. He noted that such gestures motivate civil servants to stay dedicated and contribute to the state’s progress.
“This award is a historic moment for Hajiya Halimatu Abubakar and a challenge to all staff to uphold honesty, dedication, and accountability in their service,” Bugaje said.
In her remarks, Hajiya Halimatu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah and Governor Radda for the recognition, pledging to redouble her commitment to duty.
Other dignitaries, including Alhaji Mannir Yahayya, Alhaji Musa Yusuf Bindawa, Alhaji Bilyaminu Muhammad, and Balaraba Sada, also commended the award, describing it as a shining example of rewarding excellence in public service.
